YOU could argue Takeuchi has been one of the best performing Japanese companies in the UK since it set up its UK operation ten years ago selling mini excavators.
When the company first set up offices in Rochdale in 1996, it sold less than 50 mini excavators a year. But the last decade has been a remarkable success story. Takeuchi - which is pronounced TAK OO CHI - now sells more than 2000 machines in UK and Ireland annually.
Takeuchi’s success has been built on the twin foundations, which have largely under-pinned Japanese industry as a whole: Reliability and exceptional machine performance.
Takeuchi mini excavators have built a reputation for reliable performance over the years – tough machines for a tough industry. Takeuchi minis have proved a reliable part of the construction team and are now the popular choice for builders, hire, contractors and landscapers.
Takeuchi now sell 11 different models of mini excavators ranging from 1 tonne to 7.5 tonnes to suit all types of application.
In its tenth anniversary year Takeuchi is proud to launch its giant 14 tonne crawled excavator, the TB1140 alongside 3 models of tracked loaders TL130, TL140 and TL150.
Compact Tracked Excavator
Takeuchi originated the compact tracked excavator concept, as far back as 1971. These are still the products for which they are best known, and they produce more than 1200 per month, sold all over the world. Takeuchi offer 11 sizes of excavator from 1 tonne up to 14 tonne.
Zero-Swing Excavators
The conventional minis were joined by an innovative range of 'Zero-Swing' excavators, extending the zero tailswing concept by offering swing within track width. A unique 'FR' offset link permits digging along a wall, even up to 8 tonne capacity.

Compact Tracked Loaders
In 2006 Takeuchi landed their new range of Tracked Loaders in the UK.(Popularly known as BOBCATS) This well established range has been sold successfully for many years in the U.S.A.
Takeuchi loaders are engineered from the ‘ground up’ with the power and strength of conventional tracked loaders yet packaged in agile and maneuverable sizes suitable for any job site.
Takeuchi have succeeded in bringing together the flotation, traction, and stability of a tracked loader with rubber track versatility and unsurpassed tool carrier capability.

Tracked Carriers
The Takeuchi TCR50 is an all-terrain carrier with rear and side tipping capabilities. A powerful diesel engine gives two speed travel with reduced noise levels for urban environments.
